Students who require accommodations under Section 504 or special education and are taking a dual credit course MUST apply for accommodations with the disability office at Lone Star College. Accommodations MUST be applied for every academic school year. At the start of a new semester during the school year for which you have applied for accommodations, you MUST identify yourself as an individual requesting accommodations. You do this by logging into your VDAC account and renewing your accommodations.
Step 1: Before you can apply for accommodations, you must have applied to Lone Star College. You will need your Lone Star Student ID number for the application.
Step 2: You must request accommodations online through VDAC. The Lone Star College Virtual Disability Assistance Center (VDAC) is the Lone Star College cloud-based software that is used to process and hold disability service requests and records. To begin, click here and follow the steps below.
Step 3: You must provide documentation which can include this medical verification form. To review the documentation guidelines, please click here. If you have questions, please view the contact information for disability services at Lone Star College. You will need to upload the documentation through your VDAC account.
Step 4: Once you have had your meeting with Lone Star College, you will receive your eligibility letter by email. You will need to follow these instructions for logging into your VDAC account to approve and renew your accommodations. This is something that MUST be done EACH SEMESTER.
