Help us tackle food waste at Concordia by learning about vermicomposting and getting hands-on with composting and harvesting. Your efforts directly contribute to a more sustainable food system. No experience or equipment needed—just wear clothes you’re okay getting dirty!
We’re accepting up to 5 volunteers per session.

CHAP volunteers will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty in our perennial herb garden and food forest at Concordia's Loyola Campus, and will work on a variety of garden tasks including bed and path maintenance, weeding, transplanting, and general garden upkeep.

This year again, the mind.heart.mouth-ACT Living Lab Gardens, on the Loyola campus, are collaborating with New Hope Senior Citizens’ Centre in NDG to fight food insecurity and social isolation by growing food for all our volunteers and for New Hope’s fresh vegetables baskets and meal programs. Hamidou Horticulture ensures that Quebecers have access to authentic, fresh produce from Africa and its diaspora, grown right here in Montreal.
