Dual Credit (DC) courses allow students to earn both high school and college credit!
COURSE REGISTRATION: First semester begins in late September and second semester begins in February.
Concord Christian Academy offers one of the most comprehensive Dual Credit programs available in the United States. Dual Credit (DC) describes the opportunity for high school students to take a course taught on their school campus by Masters-level teachers. Because of our particular situation, CCA has the privilege of offering 20+ courses, all of which are taught during regular school hours.
Currently, CCA works in conjunction with the New Hampshire Community College and University system — specifically New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI in Concord) and Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU in Manchester). Students may also take dual credit course offerings online through VLACS (Virtual Learning Academy Charter School). Dual credit courses taken outside of CCA's offerings must receive prior approval before enrollment.
Eligible CCA Faculty have been approved as adjunct professors (Masters-level degrees in their particular field) are thereby granted the opportunity to work with a mentor teacher from these institutions to whom they are accountable to manage and teach the program according to the provided class syllabi. (As appropriate, we are granted the freedom to integrate the Biblical worldview!)
CCA’s Dual Credit program enables students to make substantial progress towards their college degree before finishing high school. In most cases, students who begin taking courses in their junior year can earn up to one to two years of college credit by the time they graduate from high school, providing the potential to earn up to 60 college credits.
Registration information will be announced to eligible juniors and seniors, after each semester begins. Students will be instructed as follows:
Students will create a DualEnroll account or log into existing account using the registration link: https://ccsnh.dualenroll.com (Select forgot password, if needed)
Students will register for each course based on their CCA class schedule. (Contact Ms. Pinard for any questions.)
Teachers will receive an email to approve the registrations.
Once approved, a parent/legal guardian will receive email and submit payment.
It is VERY important that a parent/legal guardian receives a separate confirmation email to verify payment is received, and the student is registered for each course.
Cost: $150 per course
CCA high school students are eligible for the Governor's Scholarship that allows students to take a maximum of 2 free courses of ANY subject area per school year through the CCSNH Dual Enrollment Program. The year is based on the state fiscal year running from July 1st to June 30th. There is no application required, the scholarship is automatically applied to the first two courses during the registration process.
