About This Trip
About This Trip
For decades, the CCHS Concert Band (soon to be renamed CCHS Wind Ensemble) has traveled and performed in Nanae as stewards of the sister-city relationship between our two cities. We are very excited to expand this performance and travel opportunity to all of our full-time performing ensembles (band, chorus, orchestra).
This trip will focus on Hokkaido with stops in Hakodate, Nanae and Sapporo!

Day 1 – April 19 - Sunday
• Travel Day to Sapporo New Chitose Airport
Day 2 – April 20 - Monday
• Arrive at Sapporo New Chitose Airport
• Meet and greet by local tour managers and head to the hotel by bus
• Check into hotel - Sapporo Park Hotel or comparable
• Group Welcome Dinner at a hotel or restaurant
Day 3 – April 21 - Tuesday
• Breakfast at the hotel and Check-out of the hotel
• Transfer to Hakodate (4 hrs)
• Lunch on your own
• Group arranged activities with the Sister School in Nanae
• Group Dinner
• Return to the hotel.
Day 4 – April 22 - Wednesday
• Breakfast at the hotel
• Group arranged activities with the Sister School in Nanae
• Lunch on your own
• Group Dinner
• Return to Hotel
Day 5 – April 23 - Thursday
• Breakfast at the hotel
• Depart hotel
• Group arranged activities with Sister School in Nanae
• Visit Iai Joshi women’s Academy
• Group Dinner
• Return to the hotel
Day 6 – April 24 - Friday
• Breakfast at the hotel - Check out of the hotel
• Transfer to Sapporo (4 hours)
• Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley (enroute)
• Ainu traditional dance and music performance
• Group Dinner
• Check into the hotel.
Day 7 – April 25 - Saturday
• Breakfast at the hotel
• Combined concert with a local school
• Lunch on your own
• Return to the hotel.
• Group Dinner
Day 8 – April 26 - Sunday
• Breakfast at the hotel
• Sapporo City Tour (Odori Park, Sapporo Clock Tower)
• Hokkaido Jingu
• Taiko Experience
• Farewell Dinner at the hotel (Karaoke night)
Day 9 – April 27 – Monday
• Breakfast at the hotel – check out of hotel
• Depart from Sapporo Chitose Airport to the USA

The trip is currently priced at $5,750
We are deeply committed to making this trip accessible to all our students.
We will have multiple opportunities to fundraise (beyond our annual—and soon to be expanded—plant sale), and we will work closely with CCPops (this would be a great time to get involved with this wonderful organization!) to explore a variety of fundraising and scholarship opportunities.

This trip is open to all band, chorus and orchestra members.
This is a performance tour and, in addition to travel and tourism, we will be holding concerts in Nanae and elsewhere!
