As a counselor, my mission is to advocate for students and ensure that all students learn the skills to advocate for themselves and access opportunities that allow them to reach their full potential. I strive to provide an accepting and trusting environment so that students confidently know they can turn to me for support.

This is my first year serving as a school counselor and my first year at Compton High School, though I’m entering my fifth year in education overall. As someone born and raised in Compton and still living in the community—it is truly an honor to give back by supporting our students. servicing their needs and helping guide them toward success in all areas: academic, professional, social emotional and personal in order to ensure they become shinning leaders and the best representation of our community!
As a school counselor, My mission is to ensure students have access to equitable resources, skill-building opportunities, and a safe space where they feel heard, supported, and set up for lasting success. My role is to place students in positions where they can thrive academically, personally, and professionally—while making sure they never feel alone in their journey.
I am deeply committed to challenging the status quo placed on our students of color by dismantling false narratives and helping build a new, empowered identity for Compton’s youth—one grounded in pride, purpose, and possibility. By fostering an inclusive, supportive environment, I value all forms of identity which ensures every student feels seen, respected, and celebrated.
Arriba Los Tarbabes!
