Applying
Private universities have their own application process and may differ slightly from UCs and CSUs. There is no "minimum" GPA, classes etc. That is the same for universities. They are ALL different. So for these it is particularly important to do your RESEARCH to find if you meet the minimum eligibility for a particular private college or university.
Common Application
There are over 800+ privates that use the Common Application. This means that you can apply to multiple colleges and universities while only having to fill out the information once and in many cases, the option to use the same or a similar essay for all schools.
Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)
Interest in studying out of CA?
Western Undergraduate Exchange aka WUE is a financial assistance partnership that public colleges in the West Coast have to increase domestic student diversity. The bonus of attending this college is you pay in-state tuition for that college as if you were a resident of that state.

Questbridge (National College Match)
Want to go a private college for free!
The National College Match is an opportunity for low income high school seniors to have a pathway to a top college. It's a college and scholarship application process, you can apply for free to over 40 private Ivy League and Liberal Art colleges and be considered for early admission and a full four-year scholarship from the college.
