Community colleges are considered "open enrollment" which means anyone is welcomed to enroll.
We want YOU to make an INFORMED decision.
Most community colleges have similar resources. So a few of the differences to consider are the following:
LOCATION - Will you be driving to campus? Or will you be taking the bus? Use Google Maps to find how far each is from your house. Will you have to transfer buses? What is the parking permit cost and availability like?
COST - Community colleges are affordable options! If your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) was 0 or a low number, you will have much of your costs covered. From the above, Cerritos College will give Dominguez High School students TWO years for free.
MAJOR - Do they have a pathway to what you are interested in studying?
Since community colleges are open enrollment, you do not need to apply to make and wait for acceptances. YOU get to PICK which school you believe would be best for you and apply.
