We tested on collembola Folsomia candida the lethal concentration and the concentration causing the immobility after an exposure period of 48 hours (De Nicola et al, 2013), using different mulch films in standard soil. The first tests showed that the different films have no significant toxic impact on Folsomia candida.
Next steps
The ecotoxicology assessment will be carried on with a different technique of films preparation for the acute test, improving exposure protocol in order to diversify some eventual toxic effects on tested organisms.
