DASH is a 24/7 voluntary program for individuals in crisis due to substance use, mental illness or other life stressors. Their team of licensed professionals will come to you to conduct a risk assessment, develop a safety plan, and recommend any necessary outpatient services.

Assessment: Our mental health clinician and child and adolescent psychiatrist will conduct a focused mental health evaluation, assessing immediate safety concerns and further mental health needs. If indicated and urgently needed, medication may be started in the urgent care setting.

Referral: The center will provide resources and support to connect you with community based mental health treatment in your area, when indicated, which includes psychotherapy, psychiatry and case management services (for those not already in treatment).

Dash is a 24/7 voluntary program for individuals in a crisis situation who are feeling overwhelmed due to substance use, mental illness and/or other life stressors.  The program features a mobile response team of licensed professional experts who will come to your community and conduct an assessment, develop a safety plan, and if necessary, recommend outpatient services or a higher level of care. DASH also features a crisis hotline providing telephone triage, clinical assessments and therapeutic support.

The Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program provides emergency psychiatric services to people in urgent need of psychiatric evaluation 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. After patients are screened for medical complications, they receive a psychiatric evaluation. Those in need of on-going care are referred to mental health services in the community, while patients who require hospitalization are admitted to the hospital or transferred to psychiatric units throughout the county. Patients who require extended observation to complete their evaluation may be admitted to CPEP for up to 72 hours.
