The Commack Work Based Learning Experience Program (CWBLEP) purpose is to provide students with individualized work-based learning experiences to integrate and develop work readiness skills/soft skills that are necessary to succeed in a post secondary environment.
The Commack Work Based Learning Experience Program (CWBLEP) aims for students to be able to transition from the Commack School District to a post secondary environment with the necessary essential work-readiness skills and strategies to achieve optimum personal success and independence.
The Commack WBLE programs encompass a variety of experiences ranging from School Based Enterprises to Community Based Integration to Supported Employment Experiences. It allows for students to participate in the continuum of WBLE to allow for personal growth, development, and learning.
Students interested in this program need to discuss this option with their Special Education Case Manager and School Counselor. CSE committee approval is required to participate in this program.
