Theme Overview

The Information and Intelligence (I&I) theme deals with signals and data. See here for an overview of the theme.

Our mission is to find out whether microcombs can be used to better transport and/or process signals and data, and since signals and data are what all of the COMBS themes are built upon, we're interested to see where our work can intersect with the work of other COMBS application themes.

Workshop Aim

The aim of this year's workshop is to get you involved.

We want to seed, and where possible make concrete plans for, inter-theme collaborations that aim to produce research outcomes that are more than the sum of the parts of the centre. 

Day 1 will focus on the short term: What are we investigating within I&I, how might this provide the seeds for inter-theme collaborations, and what are the enabling technologies for collaboration. 

Day 2 will focus on the future: showcasing potential collaborators from other research themes, and then work on solid plans for collaboration to form the centre of the I&I theme's 2027 operational plan.
