The Fitness Gram Assessment is a State requirement for all students in 6th-8th grade. All Students must participate in order to recieve a grade and for State data purpouses.***Parents and students*** If a student has any health conditions that could limit or jepordize their health, please let Mr. Duncan or Mr. Herbst know.
Why do we do the Fitness Gram? The fitness Gram gives students, parents, and teachers data to track and assess one's health and fitness level. Students can then set goals and create a fitness plans in order train to achieve their healthy fitness zone for their age group. Students can use these assessments and knowledge to pursue their life long pursuit of health and physical education.
The Fitness Gram consists of the following tests.
1) PACER Test- Cardiovascular system
2) Push-ups - Upper body
3) Curl-ups- Abdominal
4) Trunk lift- upper body flexibility
5) Sit & reach - lower body flexibility
