The EOY iReady Diagnostic Window for 3rd - 8th Grade Reading and Math will open March 23. The EOY Diagnostic Testing window is Monday, March 23rd - Friday, April 3rd. We are asking that all teachers in Grades 3rd - 8th grade to conduct student data conferences will ALL students prior to students taking the diagnostic. If students understand their goal for the diagnostic and how this data will be used, it will yield valuable data for standards review and EOG preparation. Grades 3rd - 8th should take the diagnostic in a "controlled setting" with the goal of completing within one setting.
For Grades K-2, students the diagnostic window will open May 11th. The EOY Diagnostic window is May 11- 22, 2016. K-2 students will have the testing window to complete the diagnostic. Kindergarten and 1st grade students will only complete the math diagnostic. 2nd grade students will need to complete the reading and math diagnostic. Teachers should aim for students to take it as a whole class over 2 days for each subject.
The below schedule is recommended for 3rd - 8th Grade EOY Math and Reading diagnostic.
Monday, March 9th - Friday, March 20th- Window to Complete Student Data Conferences (Math and Reading)
Monday, March 23rd - Tuesday, March 24th - Administer the Math Diagnostic (should be given in a "testing lock down setting" for 1 to 1 1/2 hours daily)
Tuesday, March 24th - Make-Up for Math Diagnostic
Monday, March 30th - Tuesday, March 31st - Administrer Reading Diagnostic (should be given in a "testing lock down setting" for 1 to 1 1/2 hours daily)
Wednesday, April 1st - Make-Up for Reading Diagnostic
Note: Unlike the way the diagnostic was administered in the past, we suggest that you use this opportunity to administer the diagnostic in a more structured setting. This means a scheduled hour to hour and half block of time that everyone is focused on completing the diagnostic. This sets the tone for EOG test administration and creates a valid and reliable testing environment. ALL cell phones and devices should be collected during testing.
