GIVE IT A TRY 2026 CLASS LIST
Class #1 – Hexie Mug Rug. Try your hand at English Paper Piecing (EPP) and make a mug rug.
Class #2 or #4 - Coffee Bags. Burlap bags from coffee roasters.
Class #3 - Dig Into Your Family Genealogy. Using your own laptop computer (and my internet connection), I will help you set up a free account on the genealogy website, familysearch.org. This site holds billions of records and I can show you how to access many of them.
Class #5 or #6 – Let’s make Postcards. Let's practice some stitching techniques: Applique circles, flowers, contemporary designs… Embellish with buttons, couching, and decorative stitches by hand or machine, pin tucking… Piecing - precision, paper, strip… Or any techniques on small projects. Lets' make 2-4 mailable postcards to keep as samples or mail to friends and family.
Class #7, #14, or #25 – How to put on a quilt sleeve without hand sewing. Need to attach a quilt sleeve, but are intimidated by having to hand sew it? Learn how to attach a quilt sleeve without hand sewing!
Class #8 – Celestial Seasonings Factory Tour and Tea Tasting. Let's go to Celestial Seasonings and tour the factory and taste their lovely teas, then browse the shop afterwards.
Class #9 – EQ8 Basics. Do you own EQ8 software and would like to learn more about how to use it? Come with your laptop and learn some basics.
Class #10 – Sew-in. Assist your daughter, granddaughter, niece, neighbor (or a boy), at a sew-in to make a simple table runner.
Class #11 - Hand Quilting - Get Started or Get Going! Learn to quilt by hand, a relaxing and artistically satisfying way to bring a quilt project to completion.
Class #12 – Jelly Roll Rug. Learn to make a jelly roll rug from 21/4 or 2 1/2 in strips and batting.
Class #13 – Snuffle Mat. Let's make a snuffle mat that you can use to enrich your dog's day through sniffing and puzzle solving or to stretch out dinner time a little longer.
Class #15 or #22 – Upcycled Bowls. Let's use all those thread clippings and fabrics strings that land in your trash can to create a beautiful bowl!
Class #16 – Ruler Bag. Let's make a bag that holds a minimum of four rulers (up to 6 x 24) and a rotary cutter or two.
Class #17 – Hooks and Books. In this class, you can gain the knowledge and supplies to make a crocheted change stitch shawl.
Class #18 – English Smocking. Curious about English Smocking? Come learn about the variety of stitches, see samples, and understand how to create them.
Class #19 – Apple Core Curved Piecing. Come learn curved piecing with large 'Apple Core' shapes that nest together.
Class #20 – Let’s Talk Color. Do you have questions about the color wheel? Have a gorgeous print and you're not sure what other colors to use.
Class #21 or #23 - Landscape Art Quilt. If you have wanted to try making an art quilt but thought it would be too difficult, this is the class for you. I'll teach you the basic techniques for layering fabric on fabric to complete a simple landscape.
Class #24 or #28 – Rope Bowl. Make a rope bowl from clothesline!
Class #29 – Taming Curves. Intimidated by curved piecing? Come learn techniques to sew smooth curves.
Class #30 or #31 – Cycle the Platt River Trail. Join fellow members for a CASUAL (i.e.—slow) bicycle ride along the Platte River.
Class #32 Quilt Stitch Design. How to decide what to stitch where. Bring a quilt that needs to be quilted and we will discuss stitching design choices.
Class #33 – Leopold Bros Distillery Tour and Tasting. Must be 21 or over. Make it a family affair and get a head start on 2026 holiday gifts.
