Give It A Try: In December, members (and non-members) may sign up for classes on quilting techniques, special projects, non-quilting related classes, tours, and more. These classes are taught by members of the Guild. Classes are $15 to $25, plus applicable materials fees. Classes are held January to May. GIAT is the Guild's most important fundraiser each year.
Block of the Month: This is a fundraiser for the Guild. Those that purchase the BOM activity, will receive fabric and instructions each month for twelve months. Be part of the fun AND support your Columbine Guild!
Challenge Quilt: Our annual challenge starts with a theme each year that encourages members to compete for monetary prizes
Mystery Quilt: The Mystery Quilt has become an annual tradition. Supply list provided.......the completed project.....it's a mystery!
Show N Tell: Held at the end of most meetings, this is a very popular activity. Guild members show off their handiwork.
5 X 5 Trunk Show: Each August, five of our members put together a presentation of five of their quilts along with its story for our members. This is the most popular program every year.
Sit 'n Sew: Sew with friends in a relaxed, informal setting! Jump on a video call on the second Saturday of the month and sew with other Guild members from the comfort of your sewing room. Sit 'n Sew is a nine-month program, taking hiatus during June, July, and August.
Sweetheart Sew-In: At the January meeting members pick up their "Sew In" kit for the February meeting, which is a Sweetheart Sew-In via video conferencing. This annual fun-filled evening is designed so members have fun with their Guild members while creating and sewing quilts for the charitable organizations supported by Community Quilts.
Bees: Quilting bees encourage friendship and quilting outside the monthly meeting.
