Structure of Sport at Columba College
Principal: Mrs Charissa Nicol has overall authority for all areas and reports to the Board of Trustees.
Head of Sport: Mrs Lauren Piebenga is the sounding board for all sport at Columba College.
Director of Sport: Miss Dayna Turnbull organizes and oversees all areas of sport at Columba College.
Sports Administrator: Mrs Gretchen Beardmore is responsible to the Director of Sport for all sports conducted at Columba College.
Teacher in Charge: Overall organization of their sport and reports to the Director of Sport.
Club/General Committee: Assist the Teacher in Charge, especially regarding fundraising and resourcing.
Coach/Manager: Responsibilities outlined in the team roles. Report to The Teacher in Charge of their sport and the Director of Sport.
Player: Responsibilities outlined in the team roles. Report to coaches and managers of their team or Teachers in Charge of their sport.
Columba College Sports Council
The Columba College Sports Council is a committee set up to foster sport at Columba. The Council’s Vision is to create a Pathway to Excellence for All.
Mission Statement:
To provide an environment that promotes enjoyment, growth and development of sport through the provision of quality facilities, resources and support for all students at Columba College.
