Teachers should access Classroom messenger under the Instruction menu area. This changed with a recent update and we will update directions to reflect this change.
Infinite Campus Messenger is the tool we use to communicate about Academics and classroom information. Classroom teachers will need to use the Message Center to communicate with students and their guardians.

It is important to note that recipients can only reply to the email messages sent via Infinite Campus.
Remember that Teacher Messenger can only be used by those staff members that are scheduled to courses in Infinite Campus.

Using the Message Center: Class Message is the best way to ensure that you only send messages to the students you teach.
Communication can still occur via a direct email or phone call. You do not have to use IC to contact a single parent or student.
Read the Delivery Summary screen to note the number of recipients you have selected for your message. (Recipient count)
Review Recipients before sending the message to make sure your intended audience is included.
We strongly recommend that you create a template for your messenger use. This will allow you to always have important information included in your communications with the click of a button.
It is important that you include your name and possibly your school/course in your message content, especially when sending texts. See example below:
The Sent Messages Log allows you to view details for email, Process Alerts, voice and text messages you have sent using Campus Messenger. In-progress and Waiting messages can be canceled as well.
For those staff members who are not assigned to courses but still need to communicate with guardians, we recommend using Messenger 2.0, school email, calling from a school phone, Google Classroom, Google Chat (9-12), OR SchoolStatus Classic - our new two-way tool communication.
(Staff members not scheduled to students will need to reach out to their school communications person to inquire about using SchoolStatusClassic.)
These staff members might include nurses, therapists, counselors, etc.
This option is meant for whole school communication.
Proceed with caution when using the Messenger 2.0 access as it is very easy to send messages beyond your intended audience.
Messenger 2.0 will allow you to send to specific guardians and students.
Take a look at these directions that walk you through the process of sending a message.
*Please be careful when using Messenger 2.0 as you do have the ability to communicate
with the entire school when using this function.
