A Message from CASBO Executive Director Stephanie Watson & Assistant Director Kristen Colonell

We are excited to see all of you in April for our 70th Annual Spring Conference! The conference this year is at the Pueblo Convention Center, which is just 40 minutes south of our location last year in Colorado Springs. In addition to excellent meeting spaces, the location is right on the Riverwalk with close access to restaurants and other activities.

While much has changed for school districts in the 70 years since CASBO's founding, the need for networking and professional development are still at the forefront. Likewise, "The Roaring 20's" are in full swing again after a century and is perfect for our conference theme.

1920's saw adoption of the assembly line, the automobile, radios, motion pictures, indoor plumbing and labor saving electronic appliances. It was the decade of art deco, flappers, jazz, Coco Chanel and Walt Disney. What an era it was!

As we reflect on these advancements, the 2020's are primed to see similar transformational changes. Throughout history some of the most amazing periods of growth have occurred after periods of chaos. As it relates to the 2020's and moving forward from the challenging pandemic world, this conference is geared toward focusing on opportunities for leading transformational change in your departments and districts.

As school business officials, join us as we explore how we can prepare for the new "Roaring 20's".
