Every Frenchie deserves a furever home. Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue (RMFBR) is a Boulder-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes French Bulldogs—especially those with medical or behavioral needs—using a foster-home model.
How RMFBR works
How RMFBR works
Foster-based model: Dogs live in volunteer foster homes where they are assessed, treated, and rehabilitated.
Surrenders: Owners may request to surrender a Frenchie; RMFBR reviews requests and typically requires recent vet records, vaccinations, bloodwork, and photos.
Adoptions: Prospective adopters complete an application and are often asked to submit a short home video to help determine a good match.
Medical-first care: Many dogs receive extensive veterinary evaluation and treatment prior to adoption. Spay/neuter is required when medically appropriate; in some cases a temporary deposit arrangement is used until surgery can safely occur.

Adopt
If you’re ready for a Frenchie, complete the adoption application and provide any requested home video or references. Adopting a medically needy dog is a long-term commitment but also deeply rewarding.
Foster
Foster families are critical, especially for recovering or rehabilitating dogs. Fostering may involve transporting a dog to appointments, providing temporary medical care under guidance, and socialization.
Donate
Medical care adds up quickly. Donations help cover exams, surgeries, medications, transport, and supplies. Every contribution helps more dogs come into care.
Volunteer / Transport
Transport volunteers are often essential—helping move dogs between states or to new foster homes. Administrative and outreach volunteers amplify the rescue’s impact.
Share & educate
Spread responsible ownership practices for brachycephalic breeds, and share RMFBR’s adoptable dogs on social media to increase visibility.
