Update on the login/sign up page:
Also seen below is the navigation bar that was moved to the top. Final styling is not done with that
This removes the "forgot password" under the input boxes and adds the name
Takes away the name box and adds the lost password
User Testing 3
For the third phase of our User Testing, we tested our actual website with 4 new stakeholders with our actual site using React. Please keep in mind that this site is not fully finished, but we user tested on the basic pages and collected their feedback. We conducted usability interviews where we asked the user to perform a series of tasks in a prototype as well as conducting a normal interview for the rest of our materials. We were able to cover all aspects on the technical side as well as aesthetics.
One of the biggest things that we asked users was our decision to move the navigation bar to the top of the website instead of the side. We made this pivot to make the website feel more professional and modern. It also allowed us to format the pages better within the site. Our overall feedback when showing people the figma and the actual website is that the website had a more professional feel and users liked it better.Â
Key Takeaways from User Testing:
The navigation bar should be put at the top of the site
Include a search functionality (this will be a strech goal for us)
The educational content feels a little overwhelming - maybe separate into modules with a progress bar
Add branding to the educational content to make it feel less boring
More visuals in the educational content
Finish the branding - create logo and add it to tutorials and the navigation bar
Finish the progress bar that is attached to a task list
Add styling to the whole site
