User Testing 1
We decided to test at least 6 stakeholders each for our user testing and collected their feedback. We did user testing on our Pattern Library, Figma Prototype, PM Templates, and Educational Content. We conducted usability interviews where we asked the user to perform a series of tasks in a prototype as well as conducting a normal interview for the rest of our materials. We were able to cover all aspects on the technical side as well as aesthetics and UI/UX.
Here are some questions that we used to help guide the conversation during user testing:
Questions for the Pattern Library
Is the font readable and easy to follow?
Are the navigation labels and button options clear and understandable?
Were there any inconsistencies that stood out to you?
Are there any specific pain points or areas that need improvement?
Questions for the Figma
What was the easiest part of navigating the website?
What was the most confusing aspect to the website?
How did the colors make you feel?
What are your thoughts about the template organization? Is there a different way that you would do it?
What questions do you still have about the website?
Questions for Templates
Does the project management plan seem well organized?
Does the title page have space for information that you would want to track?
How does the template need to change to be more user friendly?
Are there any columns in the team organization sheet that are confusing?
Is there information that you would add to this sheet?
Is there information that should be taken off the sheet?
How do you feel about the layout and coloring of the sheet?
How does the flow of the stakeholder organization chart feel?
What would make this chart more helpful?
Visually is there anything that you would change?
Questions for Educational Content
Is it readable and easy to follow? Does the content get straight to the point?
Does the order make sense? If not, what should the order be?
What parts seem confusing and how can we make it better?
Is the content too long? Too short?

Key Takeaways from User Testing:
Fonts are clear and readable. We got positive feedback about those selections.
Colors are vibrant and uplifting. We got some feedback that the two pinks might be too close in shade so we might need to get more user feedback about the colors.
For the layouts we should incorporate a search feature and a way to filter to make it easier to navigate once there is more content.
The templates were overall easy to read and well organized. We could do some more work with creating a consistent brand within the templates. Maybe adding some more instructions about how to fill out some of the information.
For educational content it is off to a good start. We could maybe add some more information and details about the subject. But we also got feedback that we shouldn't make the tutorials too long since they should be easy and approachable.
We should add a vocab section to each module that goes over key terms that might be new to users.
Meet with Peter to go over the component levels for a multi-page web application. It will be really important that we have our website structure fully defined before coding because it will affect how we set up all the code files.
Finish iterating the templates and educational content based on the feedback from our project management mentor, Barbra.
