The Society of Scientists and Engineer’s West Mountain Regional Conference brings together collegiate chapters and young professionals within and around Colorado for a day of learning, networking, and growing. This year, we shift our focus to enhancing the skills of the individual: proper networking guidelines, tactful and confident social presentation, and introductory financial literacy, amongst other themes. We hope to provide an intimate setting where attendees are encouraged to “break out” of STEM stereotypes to set themselves on a prosperous path forward.

Chinese New Year, commonly known as Lunar New Year, is a Chinese festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. We will explore different cuisines in throughout China. Bring friends and join us for the lunar new year party!

This event is lead by Corey Keizer, a Talent Acquisition Consultant at Stantec. He will go over the key on acing that interview. Much of the time spent with career fair is to get your resume in shape; this event is a follow up on that. In addition, he will go over basic networking skills which are invaluable to have before the West Regional Conference.

We will be inviting The Society of Women Engineers to our meeting for an ice cream social. This is a great chance to meet other members in the BOLD family that's not a part of SASE. There will obviously be ice cream and we are currently working closely with SWE for an activity that we can do during the social... There will be prizes.

For all of those who loves breathing fire, this is the event for you. Those who can stand eating the spiciest ramen that we can get our hands on will win a prize in the end. For those who can't tolerate heat, we will also be having hotpot so you can enjoy looking at the competitors suffer. We will have a prize for those who can tolerate the most heat from these ramen. We will also begin our election and have presidents and VPs give their speech!

To celebrate the end of another semester and school year, we will be heading to the Rec Center for a pool party. Bring your friends and swimsuits, and enjoy your day under the sun. We will also be going over what to expect for next year, and this is a great chance to meet the e-board for 2019-2020 school year.
