Orchestra is a year long elective in which students are able to play violin, viola, cello, and double bass in an ensemble setting. Students will develop instrumental skill and content knowledge through a variety of musical experiences, including but not limited to: concerts, festivals, field trips, playing tests, and aural identification quizzes. Specific string pedagogy will be emphasized through the learning of scales, etudes, shifting exercises, and bowing exercises.
