Instrumental Band is an elective open to 7/8th graders at Cresthill Middle School. In this class, learning in centered around the acquisition of instrumental skill and content knowledge through a variety of musical experiences, including but not limited to: concerts, festivals, field trips, playing tests, and aural identification quizzes. 

Jazz band is an after school club that focuses on developing instrumental skills specifically through the idiom of jazz.  In this class, students will learn how to play in the style of jazz as well as learn strategies to comfortably improvise solos. All students who play a wind instrument, guitar, bass, drum set, or piano  are welcome to join jazz band.
