Participation Guide
The NNA-CO welcomed a broad audience to the 2022 NNA Annual Community Meeting. We built an agenda that we hoped would have something in it for anyone interested in participating in the meeting. NNA researchers had the opportunity to connect with others in the NNA community and present on their projects. Indigenous and local community members were able to participate in trainings, network with other Indigenous NNA partners, and voice their communities' priorities, needs, questions, or concerns. Early career researchers (ECRs) engaged in sessions specifically geared toward ECRs, including networking time and workshops, and helped to lead cohorts. Other participants such as decision-makers, educators, potential partners, and NGOs were able to learn more about the NNA program and opportunities to partner with NNA projects.
We invited multiple and diverse ways for attendees to contribute and engage in this year's annual meeting, including:
Give a flash talk on an NNA project
Present a poster at the in-person poster session and/or the digital poster exhibit
Participate in one of the thematic cohorts, which will be meeting throughout the meeting
Attend one of the offered trainings, which were offered in different modes (in-person and virtual)
Engage throughout the plenary and parallel sessions
Plan an in-person side meeting with existing project collaborators or with new potential collaborators
Participate a cultural night at the Anchorage Museum
Support a community partner and/or early career researcher to attend as an NNA PI
