FIRST SESSION: 24th of April
What better way to kick off our introduction to the Science Fair then an EXPERIMENT?!
Today we made SLIME!!!
We learned about the SCIENTIFIC METHOD and visually did a step by step of the process as well as filling out each step. What happens when you miz together certain ingredients? What happens if you add too much of something? Can you separate the ingredients after they have been mixed? These are some of the questions we answered during the process.
Here are some pictures of our messy but fun experience making slime.
DÍA 6-10 DE MAYO
Comenzamos un nuevo proyecto y nos convertimos en "Científicos Locos"
Introducimos el tema haciendo varios experimentos en los que los niños y niñas son partícipes de los cambios que cambios que puede sufrir la materia.
SECOND SESSION
Now it is time to get started with the preparation for our Science Fair! We dedicated this session to discovering our new groups as well as what experiment we would be focusing on. Then it was time for the fun part: THE EXPERIMENTS!
Each group got to prepare the materials and carry out their experiment in front of the class. They had to discuss the Scientific Method depending on their experiment and then they began creating the slides they are going to include in their Poster Board.
Día 13-22 de Mayo
Después haber iniciado el tema en la sesión anterior y haber visto los estados de la materia y las propiedades de esta, nos metemos de lleno con las máquinas simples y compuestas, además de las fuerzas por contacto y a distancia. Para ello, hemos realizado dos talleres: uno consistía en ver la fuerza que pueden sufrir los cuerpos y el otro el trabajo de las máquinas simple y compuestas. Después realizamos una metacognición.

THIRD SESSION
Students began to decorate their Science Fair Board. They had to use the presentation they created to explain the Scientific Method of their experiment and this is what the parents will be able to see the day of the fair. They did an amazing job and their creativity shone through.
DÍA 20-29 DE MAYO
En estas sesiones vamos a investigar sobre las máquinas que nos han cambiado la vida gracias a su descubrimiento, función y evolución.
Los niños cogen unos papeles en los hay una foto de una máquina y se buscan entre ellos, de esta manera se reunirán quien tenga la misma máquina. Una vez encontrado su compañero/a de trabajo, comienzan a trabajar y elaboran una Presentación de Google sobre los aspectos más relevantes de la máquina en concreto.
FOURTH SESSION May 27th
Now it's time to rehearse what they are going to say in front of the parents on the big day!
