Over four days, students and teachers from Spain, Poland, Slovenia, and Turkey, enjoyed a four days LTTA activity in Slovenia, engaging in cross-cultural exchanges and innovative educational activities funded by the European Union.
Coordinated by PROMOB NGO, all of the participants had the opportunity to explore the beautiful region of Slovenia, from the fascinating Postojna Caves to the overflowing creativity at the Photography University in Sezana.
Each day was filled with learning and adventure. The opportunity to share these experiences with students from the other participating countries not only broadened their cultural horizons but also strengthened the bonds of friendship and collaboration.
On April 8th, 2024, the Erasmus+ Educross project began. After a long journey, the students and teachers arrived in Slovenia eager to start this new adventure.
Once settled in Postojna, the students introduced themselves individually by creating Moodboards that they presented in English. We have left the Moodboards of Joan, Zeynep, and Marina, you can see it here.
During their visit to Slovenia, students from the EduCross project had the unique opportunity to explore the breathtaking surroundings of Postojna and experience the majesty of Europe's largest cave system. Upon entering the cave, they boarded a historic cave train that transported them through an intricate network of tunnels, galleries, and chambers. This fascinating journey allowed them to witness the natural wonders of the cave up close, including stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Guided by an expert tour guide, the students delved into the rich history and hidden secrets of the Postojna Cave. They learned about the cave's geological significance, its role in Slovenian tourism, and the unique olm – a protected species endemic to the cave's underground waters.
This visit deepened their understanding of Slovenia's natural heritage and fostered cross-cultural exchange and collaboration among participants from different countries. The experience was both educational and memorable, offering insights into the region's geological and cultural significance
During their visit to Slovenia, our students had the opportunity to explore the charming streets of Ljubljana, immersing themselves in the city's rich history and vibrant cultural scene, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
We had the unique opportunity to explore the Higher Vocational College at the Srečko Kosovel School Centre in Sežana. This institution is renowned for its photography and material design programs, offering students a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. They even did a photo shoot for us!
