You can verify the status of your Connecticut educator certification by using the CSDE Online Certification Lookup Tool.
The Connecticut State Department of Education Certification website provides detailed information on certification requirements, renewal steps, and application timelines.
We recommend beginning the renewal process at least three months before your certificate expires. You may apply for renewal up to six months in advance via the Connecticut Educator Certification System (CECS).
If you are prompted to complete an ED 126 form as part of your renewal:
Fill out the top portion in ALL CAPS and in BLUE INK.
Send the form via interoffice mail to the attention of Human Resources
If you are no longer employed with Colchester Public Schools, mail it to:

Once completed, HR will submit the ED 126 to the State on your behalf.
