Is two better than one?

One of things I don’t understand about Colby, Kansas is that we have two Subway Sandwich Shops. With the size of our town, it seems as though supporting two Subways would split their profits. I liked Wendy's so it was especially difficult to understand why one of them took away our Wendy’s restaurant. Maybe we could get a different restaurant that we don’t already have. Additionally, there are inconsistencies between the two Subway stores and one is closer than all the other to the school and downtown.
Let me be very clear, Subway is a good place to eat but I would like to see if we could get a Freddy’s, a Taco Bell, maybe a Buffalo Wild Wings or Wing Stop, a Dairy Queen, or we could even get the old Wendy’s back. I would simply like something different to pick from.
I also do not understand why one Subway has different options than the other one. For example, one Subway has vinaigrette, for a long time one of the Subways had oven roasted chicken breast and the other one didn’t. Sometimes one of them has more cookies than the other. It’s just hard to understand.
