I completed my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling with a focus in somatics and dance movement therapy in 2020 at Naropa University and I am a licensed mental health counselor in New Mexico.
I received my bachelor's degree in Comparative Religions from the University of New Mexico in 2009. While in this program I heard a counselor talk about her work with torture victims and I felt a stir in my heart, knowing that I deeply wanted to work with people in this way. It took some time to be able to fully step into that calling, and now that I'm finally here it is even better than I thought it would be.
I am also a professional carpenter coming from a long line of carpenters. I find that having another job that is, in many ways, opposite to counseling helps me find balance and makes me a better therapist. The one thing that both have in common is that I get to help people make their dream a reality.
Some of my other interests include dancing, spending time in nature, reading, spending time with loved ones (people and animals), traveling, and singing.
