Music Award Scheme - Year 7+ only (closing date: 30 September)
Up to 4 students per year may be selected for a place at Cobham Free School Senior Department under the Music Award Scheme. In addition to a normal Admissions Application Form a Music Award Scheme Application Form must be completed to apply for the scheme.
Students may apply from any locality, as distance is not a determining factor in allocating places on the Award Scheme. As the award will be given to students showing musical potential, no previous instrumental tuition will be necessary in order to apply. However, eligible students should demonstrate a strong aptitude for music.
Candidates will be invited for an audition which will include aural tests as part of the selection process. Auditions will take place before the closing date for applications to Surrey County Council (normally on or before 31st October). Therefore, applications for the Music Award Scheme must be received by 30th September to allow sufficient time for the auditions process.
Successful Music Award scholars will receive free tuition in one instrument throughout their time at the senior department of the school and they will be expected to play a full part in the life of the Music Department for the whole time they are attending Cobham Free School.

Applications for the Music Award Scheme should be submitted using the online form (see the link below) from 1st September until 30th September. Applications will not be accepted outside these dates.
