Building AI-Supported Education
BaiSE is an information and interaction hub for educators who wish to employ AI within their educational field. It covers fundamental knowledge about AI and its practical uses in educational settings, as well as relevant guidelines and ethical considerations. It fosters an online community where educators can interact with other users and contribute to knowledge construction.
The intended users of BaiSE are Canadian educators across all age groups, subjects, and educational roles. While many existing educational technology platforms focus on specific subject areas or grade levels, BaiSE is intentionally designed to be inclusive and adaptable for all educators—whether they are classroom teachers, school administrators, instructional designers, or education support staff. Our decision to create a universal AI resource hub stems from the recognition that many administrative and instructional tasks in education overlap across subjects and grade levels. By keeping BaiSE broad in scope, we ensure that all educators feel welcome and can find the AI-powered tools most relevant to their roles. The platform provides a customized search experience, allowing users to filter AI solutions based on grade level, subject area, and task category, making AI adoption practical, efficient, and user-friendly.

This website was developed as a collaborative group effort, integrating research, analysis, and discussions among team members. While AI tools were utilized to assist in the organization, editing, and refinement of content, all final decisions, critical thinking, and scholarly analysis were conducted by the group to ensure accuracy, originality, and academic integrity.
As students of the University of British Columbia, we acknowledge that UBC’s Vancouver campus is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. As remote learners, we also acknowledge that we live, study, and gather on the traditional lands of Indigenous Peoples whose territories we are privileged to be on. We recognize the ongoing connection Indigenous communities have to these lands and commit to deepening our understandings of their histories and contributions.
