Welcome! My name is Gina Sanchez, and I will be your child's sixth grade teacher. I am very excited about beginning an awesome year. Harada Elementary will be a great place for your child to learn and grow. As always, the start of a school year holds promise of new discovery and learning, as well as the prospect of personal growth in all areas for your child. I am thrilled to be a part of this with you! Looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you! Most importantly to having a fabulous 202.1-2022 year!
About Me
That's me! I would like to introduce myself to you. I grew up in Upland and lived there until attending college at University of Irvine. After college I traveled through Europe and surrounding countries, which was a very memorable experience. My first career, I worked for Toyota and conducted training teaching leadership skills, group solidarity, and communication skills. Coming from a family of educators, I admit I wanted to be different. However, teaching children is something I have always had a passion for. I joined CNUSD in 2004. I have taught 4th, 5th and 6th grade. Sixth grade is my favorite! I have been teaching elementary for 16 years. My son, River, is now in 9th grade. We live here in Eastvale and enjoy being part of this great community.
Education
I received my degree in Sociology at the University of California Irvine. My teaching credential was completed at Cal State San Bernardino. After I was hired at CNUSD, I returned and completed my Masters and Administrative credential at Chapman University.
