Comfortable waterproof shoes - boots are recommended (Bean Boots, Hunter Boots, etc.)

Jacket (for cold weather and water resistant)

Flip flops/slippers (travel and/or kitchen)

UK adapter (different than Europe's, bring both if traveling)

Grocery & Food
There are several grocery stores in Glasgow and within walking distance from the campus and housing. Students primarily cook for themselves, but have access to several shops, cafes, and restaurants to eat out.
Housing
Students stay in University of Glasgow accommodations located off-campus about 15-20 minutes. The student housing varies by building, but students have recently stayed in Cairncross and Kelvinhaugh.
International Student Orientation & Support
Students stay in University of Glasgow accommodations located off-campus about 15-20 minutes. The student flats have single rooms with a shared kitchen and bath.
Pre-Departure Registration & Course Enrollment
Students will be asked via email prior to departure to login to their Glasgow account to confirm their details. This is completed after acceptance and before departure.
Location
The University is located in the West End of Glasgow. The city center is about 20 minutes walk from the apartment and accessible from campus and accommodations by train, metro, bus, or walking.
Transportation
Two large train stations are located in the city center and serve Scotland and the UK.
Airport
There are two airports in Glasgow: Glasgow Airport (GLA) & Prestwick Airport (PIK)
Students will fly into GLA airport from the United States, but can use either airport for shorter trips to places within Europe.
Tutoring Center
There is a tutoring center on campus for students interested in additional assistance with their studies.
Student Life & Activities
There are two student unions for students to gather for social activities. There are hundreds of clubs and societies students may join as well.
Books
A bookstore and used bookstore are close to campus to purchasing books. You do not need to order books in advance.
