In Middle School, counseling services focus on facilitating the many transitions our students go through when they enter Middle School, as well as helping the students and their families manage the emotional, psychological, and physical changes that children experience during adolescence. As counselors move up each grade with students during middle school, know that we are looking forward to getting to know your student more!
Individual Student Planning
We work together with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure that every student has the best possible school schedule and course of study throughout the three years of Middle School. We work to begin to prepare students for participation in higher education and the world of work.
Individual Counseling
We are trained to help students with school-related problems arising from academic, personal, social, or family conflicts. Some common problems include adjustment to school, changing peer relationships, parent expectations, and study habits. Confidentiality is always observed. Please make an appointment with the counselor whenever you need to do so. We do not provide therapy but can refer to outside service providers.
In addition, our counselors also provide:
Small Group Interventions
Academic Follow-up
Scheduling and Placement Service
Responsive Services
Conflict-Resolution Interventions
