Organize Google Drive

Creating a Folder:

  1. On the left Click the NEW>Folder
  2. Enter the Name
  3. Click Create
    1. Change the Color >Right Click (r/c) and select change color
  4. Moving a folder
    1. r/c the folder and select Move to..
    2. Select the folder you want to move to
  5. Make a copy of a file
    1. Select File-Make a Copy (if document is open)
    2. r/c and select make a copy
    3. You can then move the copy, rename it or delete it

Calendar

  1. Open Calendar
  2. To change any of your settings, go to the top right corner and click the gear symbol
  3. Create a new calendar by opening settings and selecting the calendar tab...then click Create new calendar or...
  4. Under My Calendars click the triangle and select Create New Calendar

Forms

  1. Forms can be used to collect information, give an assessment or conduct a survey
  2. Create a form under the NEW button in your Drive...then select more -> Google Forms
  3. Name the form and start adding questions, videos, or images
  4. When the form is complete you can send it to whomever or you copy the link and send it in an e-mail.

Spreadsheets

  1. You can create a new spreadsheet in your Google Drive or in the App Google Sheets.
  2. Sorting data can be performed under the Data tab. You can sort A-Z, Z-A or custom
  3. Coloring cells, rows, or columns is done by selecting the item you want to color and clicking the spilling bucket on the toolbar
  4. Once colored you can sort by color! Use Conditional Formatting
  5. Charts are created by selecting the range and then inserting a chart from the INSERT menu. Charts are a very powerful visual tool
