South Meck is excited to offer the Class of 2026 - the opportunity to paint your parking space. This experience is only available to seniors .Seniors also must apply and be approved for parking during the first application window. Students who apply and are approved late or mid-year are not eligible to participate in this experience.
Process to Paint
1.) Seniors must apply, be approved for parking, and pay the parking fee to be eligible to paint their space.
2.) Students must submit a color sketch of their parking space design using the Google Form by Thursday, August 14 by 5pm.
3.) Students will receive an email notification of their design approval or denial on or before Friday, August 15.
4.) If approved, you must pay the additional Senior parking paint fee ($25) on Online School Payments before painting.
5.) Painting will occur on Monday, August 18 from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (rain date: Wednesday, August 20). There is no make-up day. If you are unavailable during this window, you should not apply to paint your spot.
6.) Spots must be painted black by Friday, June 6, 2025 at 7:00pm. Seniors who do not comply will face a $60 fee that will impact graduation participation.
Design
Designs must be submitted in color and be school-appropriate. Double meanings, offensive symbols, or explicit language are not permitted. The painted design must match the approved sketch. If the sketch and painting do not align, the space will be painted black and no refund will be issued.
Materials
All materials must be supplied by the student.
Read below for the required supplies:
Latex, exterior, water-based paint (available at Home Depot, Sherwin-Williams, Lowes, etc.)
Oil-based, reflective, or spray paints are not allowed.
Estimate 2 quarts of paint to cover your spot.
Brushes, rollers, or sponge to apply paint (nothing else is permitted)
Masking tape to mark off the 2-inch border from white lines

Stool or towel to sit on
Chalk to sketch design
Broom to sweep spot
Plastic drop cloth to put under paint cans
Plastic containers for water, paint, and brushes
Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, water, and snacks
Tips
Tape the edges of your spot with a 2-inch margin before painting,
Bring a broom to sweep the dirt off your spot.
Use chalk to draw out your sketch.
Starting painting at the front of your spot (near the curb or cement barrier) to the end (near the number).
Consider making a stencil ahead of time.
Bring extra plastic containers for water and brushes.
Limit your palette or share specialty colors with friends.
Bring approximately 2 quarts of paint to cover your spot.
