A: Space assignments vary each year due to the number of applicants. Students who have early release may be assigned a parking spot in the main lot or gravel lot based on availability. Both parking lots will be opened after 2nd block and 3rd block for exit.
Q: Am I guaranteed a spot because I have CPCC courses or early release?
A: No, all students must meet all requirements to be considered for parking. CPCC or early release schedules are not parking requirements.
Q: What do I do if there is a hold on my account for proof of residency?
A: You will have to complete a residency affidavit. Forms are available in the front office. You must return the notarized form before the account hold can be removed.
Q: I applied for a parking permit but have not heard anything yet - what do I do?
A: Pay attention to the notification dates for each application window. If the notification date has not passed then please DO NOT contact Ms. Pearman. If the notification date has passed for the application window, please check the email that you used to apply. If you do not have an email notice, please email Ms. Pearman.
Q: What do I do if I permanently lost my physical parking permit?
A: The cost to replace a lost parking permit is $20. Students should purchase the replacement permit online via Online School Payments. If the parking permit was stolen in a car theft, students will be required to provide proof of the theft.
Q: What do I do if I temporarily lost/misplaced my physical parking permit?
A: Students who will not have their parking permit in their possession for 1- 5 days must purchase a temporary permit. Temporary permits are valid for 5 days from the date of issue. Temporary parking permits cost $5. Students should purchase the permit online via Online School Payments. Students should report to the main office to receive the temporary permit.
Q: Can I apply for a temporary parking permit if I need to park for a few days?
A: Temporary parking permits are only for students who have misplaced an approved parking permit. We do not provide permits to students who have not gone through the approval process. Students who park on campus without a valid parking permit will receive a warning. The warning involves documenting the car’s make, model, and license plate number. Repeated violations will result in towing at the expense of the owner.
Q: Do I need to apply to keep my parking for spring semester?
A: No, once you apply, receive approval, and pay, you do not need to reapply to keep your parking permit for the spring semester.
Q: I was late to school and the gates were locked. What do I do?
A: Students should arrive at school on time, as gates will be locked by 7:30 AM. The gates will only be unlocked for students who have a note. Students without a note will not be allowed to park in their assigned parking location. Please note that parking in undesignated or unassigned areas may result in your vehicle being towed.
