"Classroom" Procedures
    Classwork Policies
-Class participation is necessary in order to be successful in class. Each day students will be expected to read
independently, write responses to what they read and share ideas with classmates.

-You are responsible for writing down all assignments and knowing when they are due.

     Missing Homework or Classwork
-If you are absent, it is your responsibility to check Canvas for the missing work once you return to class.

    Technology
-The use of cell phones is not allowed. All cell phones should be silenced and placed in your bookbag.
Bookbags will, then, be placed in a designated area of the classroom.
    - Parents please refrain from calling or texting your child during instruction. Feel free to call and leave a
message with the front desk the school if you must contact your child.

     Food
-Food is not permitted in the classroom.

      Bathroom
-Students will not be allowed to leave the classroom during the first 15 minutes and the last 15
minutes of class. Scholars should make sure they use the restroom prior to coming to class.

    Staying Connected
-Email me (sheilam.johnson@cms.k12.nc.us) if you have questions or concerns about classwork.

-It is highly encouraged that parents use ParentSquare to stay informed about school events and to
communicate with your child's teachers. Go to ParentSquare.com to sign up.
