About Me

HELLO! I am excited to be your 9th grade English teacher this year. Here are a few facts about me:

• From Bronx, New York

• Have one sister and two brothers

• Bachelors of Art in Elementary  Education, Howard University (Go Bison!)

• Masters of Science in Elementary Education, Lehman College

• Have been teaching for 32 years

• Have taught all grades from Kindergarten through Eighth

• Moved to the Charlotte area in 2005

• Teacher of the Year (2013) at Crown Point Elementary

• Met and married my wonderful husband in the Charlotte area

• Have a Great Dane named Max (a sweet, gentle giant) and a Chihuahua named Lou 

• Enjoy cooking, reading, travelling and eating foods from all cultures
