Welcome to Mrs. Johnson's English web page! Use this site to guide you through your ninth grade reading experience. This year students will use the Springboard curriculum to continue to grow academically.
STUDENTS: Use this site to find schedules, classroom resources, classroom polices and links to important web pages.
PARENTS: Use this site to keep up with what is going on in our classroom and school. This site will also give you information about ways to contact me including using Parent Square.
ASSIGNMENTS: Information about specific assignments are located in CANVAS and Google Classroom.
CLASS Supply List
Materials Needed Daily:
composition notebook (NO SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS; notebooks will remain in class)
pen or pencil
Handheld pencil sharpener
Chromebook (distributed to 9th graders the second week of school)

Post-It notes
Colored Pencils
Each scholar will receive student workbooks which must remain in class.
What is CANVAS?
"Canvas is an Online Learning Management Software Program. It streamlines classroom work to one location where teachers can post and grade assignments, and students can complete work and receive feedback from teachers."

Student Resources
Scholars will use the CMS Launch Pad to access many resources, such as student email, grades and Canvas. Click here for more information about the CMS LaunchPad.
You will find all of your assignments in Canvas.
Our class novels and other great ebooks are located in Sora.
Stay informed. Check your grades on a regular basis.
Teachers occasionally send important information through email, so make sure you check it daily.
