POB CTE students are offered opportunities to complete Industry certifications, participate in internships, work based learning, job shadow, career fairs, field trips, extra curricular activities and a chance to enroll in college classes while in high school through the CPCC Career & College Promise Partnership. Students should check their emails daily to learn about new and upcoming opportunities. All POB CTE students are encouraged to take the industry certification exams which are offered free of cost to them. Completing a CTE Pathway can help students to:
• Complete industry certification embedded in pathway sequence
• Leverage CTE AP and Honors Courses to deepen industry knowledge
• Enroll in early college opportunities through College and Career Promise dual enrollment program
• Track field trips, job shadows and internships
• Participate in capstone projects
• Be an active member of Career and Technical Student Organization

CTE Magnet Expectations & Continuation: POB Students and families are expected to follow the STEM Magnet continuation requirements and pass their CTE class every year as they progress with POB.
