Hi, my name is Shamekia Morris. I was born and raised in a small town called Waycross GA. After graduating high school in June 1999, I attended Okefenokee Technical College and received a diploma in Early Childhood Education. I began working as a Lead Teacher at the college daycare center. Starting in 2005 until 2013, I worked with youths who exhibited behavioral challenges in different settings. After moving to Charlotte in 2013, I worked as a Psychiatric Technician at a behavioral hospital. I began my career with CMS as the Behavioral Modification Technician (BMT) in September 2014. I have been with Oakhurst for 4 and a half years now. Because of my love and passion for working with children, I am currently attending Livingstone College to receive my BA in Social Work.
