Welcome to the Olympic High School

Student Services Department!

Our Mission

The mission of the Olympic High School, School Counseling Department is to provide counseling services that are inclusive to all high school students. As unique issues come to our attention, students and parents should expect that additional school and community resources will be provided to ensure that all of our students are able to reach their full academic and personal potential. Counselors will collaborate with all stakeholders and align service with the CMS Strategic Plan of 2024 in order to maximize academic achievement, career development, and social emotional learning of all students.

The school counseling department is such an integral part of our school community. As school counselors, we believe it is important to merge academics and character development for developmental growth and to be productive citizens here at Olympic High school. The school counselors will continue to find new ways to build a proactive partnership between your parents, students, and teachers. Each student is assigned to a school counselor who becomes the first source of help in planning courses selections, researching post-secondary options (post-secondary education--college, training program, future professions), and in just listening to whatever one might wish to discuss.

Our Goal

The overall goal is to help students move through high school with proper assistance and support in order to achieve greater success in the fulfillment of their high school goals and post secondary plans. Consider us to be your personal advocate and adviser.

Students are assigned to a counselor's caseload by grade level and alphabet. Students may schedule an appointment with their assigned school counselor. Parents/Legal guardians wishing to meet with their child's counselor may call or e-mail the appropriate counselor to schedule an appointment. Simply click on the counselor's name to access her e-mail address.

Students can stop by the School Counseling Office during their assigned lunch period to pick up an appointment slip to request an appointment with their school counselor. Once the counselor receives the student's request and reviews the student's schedule, the student will be called out of an elective course to address their concern(s).
