Theatre Virtual Auditions

All students auditioning for theatre will be evaluated on: Performance Skills/Memorization, Understanding of the Monologue and Characterization, Physicality (use of gesture and movement), Vocal Expression (diction, projection, vocal quality), Energy/Stage Presence Professionalism/Ability to take direction.

Theatre Audition Requirements

Students auditioning for NWSA Middle School Theatre (Drama) must:

-Record themselves performing 1 monologue (memorized) from the NWSA Audition website: :https://sites.google.com/cms.k12.nc.us/nwsaauditions-com/audition-at-nwsa/reference-documents/monologues?authuser=0

*The video must start with "my name is _____ and I will be performing _______ monologue"

*The video must be shot in one shot. No multiple angles or multiple video submissions allowed.


Students auditioning for NWSA High School Theatre (Drama) must:

-Record themselves performing 2 monologues (memorized) from the NWSA Audition website: https://sites.google.com/cms.k12.nc.us/nwsaauditions-com/audition-at-nwsa/reference-documents/monologues?authuser=0

(Starting this year, we are not requiring a Shakespeare monologue for High School audition. You may choose to still perform 1 Shakespeare monologue, but you may also choose to do 2 contemporary monologues instead (or 1 contemporary and 1 Shakespeare.)

*The video must start with "my name is _____ and I will be performing _______ and _______ monologues"

*The video must be shot in one shot. No multiple angles or multiple video submissions allowed.
