I have a B.S. from Western Kentucky University in Recreation, and I attended University of North Carolina in Charlotte to complete my certification in Special Education. I am a National Board Certified Teacher.

Prior to working in public education, I worked in a wide variety of settings with individuals who have disabilities including a sheltered workshop, municipal Park and Recreation, Special Olympics, and group home agencies.
