Daily Policies and Expectations

  1. Starting Class- Enter the room by greeting your teacher and sitting in your assigned seat. Afterwards, immediately start your “DO NOW” activity.
  2. Dismissing Class- I dismiss the class, not the bell. The class must be clean and neat before students leave.
  3. Electronic Devices- All electronic devices are prohibited and must be put away unless you have been given permission to use them.
  4. Food- There is absolutely no eating or drinking in class. You may have “clear” water in a clear bottle.
  5. Materials for Assignments- You must write your assignments in pencil or pen (black or blue ink). You must have your own notebook and paper.
  6. Labeling and Headers for Assignments- Each assignment must have a name, date, title, and block number. Assignments with no name will not receive credit.
  7. Turning in Assignments- Use the bin labeled by your block number or in the Google Classroom.
  8. Finishing Assignments Early- Read a book, study your notes, or complete an additional activity.
  9. Group Work Assignments- Everyone is expected to work and to communicate respectfully when working in small groups.
  10. Absent for Assignment- Retrieve your work from the make-up work folder or request the work from your teacher.
  11. Class Discussions- Please raise your hand and wait to be called on before speaking. Actively listen to your classmates as well.
  12. Class Visitors- When there is a classroom visitor, your best behavior and participation is expected.
  13. Fire Drills- Move swiftly to our designated area and stay together.
  14. Bathroom Passes- three passes per quarter.

Consequences

1st- Student will receive a warning

2nd- Student will receive a warning and/or teacher-student conference

3rd- Parent/Guardian will be called and student may be removed from class

4th- Referral (Certain behaviors will result in an immediate referral)
