I am very excited to be part of your student's education this year! I cannot wait to see each and everyone of my students has to offer as we go into this school year!
My teaching style is a combination of hands- on learning including technology and manipulatives. Throughout the year we will be using a variety of multiple intelligence projects, allowing each student to shine! My goal is to ensure your child feels welcomed, supported and successful this year!

About Ms. Day!
My name is Katie Day and I am really excited for this upcoming school year and being your students teacher. This is my 6th year teaching and I couldn't be more happy to be at Sharon Elementary. I am a Sharon alumni and I am thrilled to come back to where it all began.
I was born and raised in Charlotte, a true Charlottean, and went to Sharon Elementary, Carmel Middle School and Myers Park High School. I then went onto graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in history.
I love anytime I can take a trip to the beach with a good book and enjoying the outdoors. Some of my favorites include my golden retriever Cooper, hanging out with friends and family, guacamole, M&M's, sushi, any pasta, lots of water, sweet tea/ lemonade and coffee!
