Homework

Reading:  Please make sure students are reading books each day  Students will need to record the book read in their agenda each evening.  Please no parent handwriting.  

Spelling:   Please follow directions on the homework sheet. (Please see below) (This will come later)

You can earn a homework Brag Tag each week if you have read and do your spelling everyday!!

Homework Information Letter

Dear Families,

Your child will be bringing home a sheet of spelling words that have been introduced in class. 

When the lists come home:  Your child will need to cut apart their words (they can store them in a Ziploc bag) then practice them each evening. 

Some suggestions on how to work with the words: 

Spell Out loud to an Adult or Older Sibling.

Write a few words each evening to practice.

Write words in sentences spelling words correctly.

New words will come home when your child has shown proficiency!  Students may repeat sorts until they are proficient in that spelling pattern.

Every bit of practice with these words at home will benefit your child.  Thank you for your support!  Together we can help your child make valuable progress!
