Dear Parents, Nov 18th, 2024
Scholars should have non-fiction text available for the second quarter in alignment with the literacy program in class. Below is the outline of each day scholars should be working on. Thank you for your support .
Ms. Hsu , 4th Grade , MCES
Monday -Write a summary of the book , chapter, or a section of a non-fiction text. The beginning of the summary should include book title, author’s name , main idea and 3 supportive details.
Tuesday- Use the same or different part of the non-fiction text to do this.
Scholars should pick out 4 vocabulary words. Complete a Frayer Model for each word. Two Frayer models on front and back.
See example:
Wednesday- Use a thinking map to organize your thinking from your non-fiction reading.
Ex: Double bubble map, multi-flow map, flow map, brace map, or tree map.
You can choose fiction or non-fiction to complete reading homework.
Thursday- You can choose a comic strip to show us what you read about. I need at least eight boxes with speech bubbles neatly.
